The hot humid climate zone is along the Equator and extends until 35 degrees of latitude. It mainly contains areas such as Central Africa, Southern Asia and Central America. The typical hot humid climate is considered to be the tropical climate. The sub-tropical and equatorial climate are also climates related to hot humid climate.

HOT HUMID CLIMATE CHARACTERISTICS
The hot humid climate, is characterized by the great amount of rainfall in combination with high temperatures. The definition of seasons is different than the temperate climate, because they are not distinguished by how cold or warm the weather is, but by the variation of rainfall. While along the Equator there are two rain seasons and two dry seasons, further away for that zone the two seasons become one that takes place from May to July for the Northern hemisphere and from November to February for the Southern. The temperature variation along the year as well as during the day is very mild and ranges from 35 to 22 Celsius degrees. The dominant wind in hot humid climate is the eastern and only in July in the Southern hemisphere turns to western.

The average temperature of hot humid climate in Summer has low differences along the world and varies from over 30 Celsius in Central Africa to 20 Celsius degrees in other regions. It is interesting the fact that the Northern hemisphere is slightly hotter than the Southern.
In the Winter, the temperature variation diminishes and remains on an average of 20-30 Celsius along the hot humid zone. |

From the rainfall map, it becomes clear that the hot humid climate is characterized by the huge amount of rainfall. The hot humid areas of the world have a minimum average of 1000mm rain during the year and in some cases, such as in Brazil of Bangladesh and Indonesia the figure rises to over 2000mm of rain.
